WHERE IS GOSPEL MUSIC HEADED?

They say music has no tribe or kindred, that music is cross cultural and i agree like so totally.look around you and see the way music from different cultures, kindred, tongues has broken the divide among people and fostered forms of unity and collaborations, even if for a short time.....
now if you know me(if you don't, don't blame yourself), you will have noticed i love gospel music.no other form of music gets to me more than that.......
my question is so simple, why is gospel music picking up other identities, because it is almost lost now in the fusion of other genres it has taken.well i can try to understand the reasons, but then the reasons do not support the loss of identity
one advantage though is,it has taught me to pay more attention to lyrics now...guess my head is sharper now......now thats a good thing ain't it?well maybe the only thing oh,and the fact that the gospel is being preached.....well... ok....but the videos and the music, and the dressing.....in gospel music now... well.... i guess i am not yet wise to the new ways of the "gospel"
see you on the other side"

  1. Someone once asked us in a music class, how many of you bother to pray for our gospel musicians? We are quick to point out what we consider wrong, but we need to be praying for them as well. Instead of criticizing, we were advised to take them to God in prayer. It helps a whole lot rather than just looking at the negatives in their creations.
